Under 8 Camogie
U8 Bredagh v Rossa
On Saturday 15th September, O?Donovan Rossa GAC (Anderstown) brought their U8 camogie squad to Cherryvale to play Bredagh.
Two games were played in front of an enthusiastic crowd with the youngest and oldest members of each squad facing each other. Some of the youngest Bredagh camogs were playing their first game ever (!) but still managed to compete with the Rossa girls who won the game. Final Score Rossa 7-0 Bredagh 3-0.
The other game was a very close contest in which Bredagh led by 2 goals only for Rossa to draw level in the second half. The deadlock was broken when Bredagh scored a third goal just before the final whistle to win. Bredagh 3-0 Rossa 2-0.
Players, families and coaches fully enjoyed the event which we hope to repeat soon.

Bredagh U8 & U10 at Blitz in Kilclief
25 of Bredagh's youngest camogs travelled to a County Down Blitz at the Ben Dearg club in Kilclief on Saturday 2 June.
The U10s played 5 matches against Ben Dearg, Ballycran, Liatroim, Clonduff A and Clonduff B. All of the games were very competitive and the Bredagh camogs battled hard against tough opposition. Bredagh beat Clonduff B and were unlucky to lose to Liatroim who got a late goal. Despite some heroic defending Bredagh were unable to outdo Ballycran and Clonduff who played some excellent camogie.
The U8s played 3 matches against Clonduff, Ballygalget and Liatroim. Bredagh won two matches and lost narrowly to Ballygalget. This was a very impressive display from a hard working team.
The U8 squad was: Eimear Smith, Meabh Deery, Rionach Kelly, Meabh Devlin, Ciara Blaney, Aoidin McPeake, Andrea McKillop, Rebekah McKegney, Emma Jennings, Cliodhna Regan, Ella Lyttle, Aobh Hughes, Joanna Woods and Medb Wills
The U10 squad was: Ciara Downey, Meabh Downey, Sarah Guerin, Lucy Jennings, Bronagh Murray, Aoife McCanny, Cara McCanny, Hannah McKegney, Ciara McKillop, Nuala McManus and Rachael McVeigh
