HURLING
Once upon a time, back in the 1980s, there was a senior hurling team in Bredagh. In 2005, a "new" team became the first to represent Bredagh in nearly two decades. In February 2005 the new team played a challenge game with St Galls. The squad eventually grew to 40 players and the team achieved a very creditable third position in Division 2 of the All County League.

In 2006 the team won Division 3 of the Ulster Hurling League and reached the final of the Junior Hurling Championship. In 2007 The Junior Hurling Championship was won with victory over Warrenpoint in Ballela. The team also won Division 2 of the Down league. In 2008 Antrim Division 4B was won and in 2009 the club reached the Intermediate Hurling Championship final for the first time only to lose out to a strong Liatroim side.
In 2010, Bredagh senior hurlers won the Intermediate Championship when they defeated Newry Shamrocks in the County Final.
