U10 & U12 Hurling Training
On Saturday 13th March U10 & U12 hurling training will move outside at Cherryvale 1.00pm to 2.30. All players should bring their own stick and helmet if they have them and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.


U6/U8 Boys Football
Change of venue and times for Bredagh U-6 and U-8 boys football training. Sessions will now be held in Cherryvale on Sunday mornings from 10 – 11:30am. Each under 6 child must be accompanied by an adult who must remain at the session.


Boys Football Training
Boys football training started back at Cherryvale last Sunday morning, 7th March. The U10's, U-12's and U-14's were out in force enjoying the great weather and learning some football skills into the bargain.

Training at Cherryvale continues this Sunday 15th March and the other groups will be joined by the Boys U-8's and U-6's who will be moving outdoors after their indoor sessions at St Bernadettes Hall finished last week.


U16/Thirds Football Notice
U16/Thirds training at the PEC – Unfortunately the PEC is not available on Wednesday the 10th and 17th March. The next two confirmed bookings are on the 24th and the 31st March.


U10 Hurling Notice
On Saturday 13th March U10 hurling training will move from St Joseph's School to outside at Cherryvale 1.00pm to 2.30. This includes the U9s. All players should bring their own stick and helmet if they have them and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.


Youth presentation night
Youth presentation night, Rosario Hall, Ormeau Road Saturday March 13th @ 6:30pm. With Bredagh's own Aine Brolly representing Down at this weekend's Ulster Senior Scór Finals in the solo singing Bredagh has shown it has made great strides on the cultural front as well as on the playing fields. But Aine's great efforts will also be complemented on Saturday night March 13th when Bredagh GAC's under-age boys and girls will have their annual presentation night combined with a ceili at Rosario's Youth Hall Ormeau Road starting at 6:30 PM and concluding by 9 PM. The presentations will cover the Under 12, 10 and Under 8's in all codes in football, hurling and camogie. The boys and girls and their families will also be treated to Irish traditional entertainments featuring Enda McGonagle, our 2009 young hurler of the year. Enda is part of the Clan Bredagh part of the night that will also see set dancing along with other entertainment. A magician will also be on hand as special treat for young and old alike.


Annual St. Patrick's Day Mass
Bredagh Annual St. Patrick's Day Mass Wednesday March 17th

Bredagh's annual Irish language Mass on St. Patrick's Day, in partnership with An Droichead the award winning South Belfast based Irish Cultural Center/school will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday March 17th at Holy Rosary Church followed by a ceili at the church hall. All Bredagh Club members are welcome to attend. Feel free to bring a friend as well as your voice and an instrument on St. Patrick's Day


Bredagh Player Schools Success
U16 Bredagh footballer, Oisin Smylie, played a significant part in St Malachys recent win in the Loch An Iuir cup final. This is one of the premier Ulster schools competitions for year 10's and it's a great honour to have a winners medal at this level. Well done Oisin!


U16 Football Results
The U16 'A' and 'B' teams both had league matches on Sunday afternoon. The 'A's had a comprehensive victory at home to Downpatrick winning 6-10 to 2-02. Read the report in the U16 football section. Despite the win, star goalkeeper Matthew Duffy was unfortunate to suffer a double fracture to his left arm at the start of the second half....we all wish Matthew a speedy recovery.

The 'B' team were away to Carryduff and were unlucky to lose out by three points in a very competitive game. The final scoreline was Carryduff 1-11 Bredagh 1-08. Report to follow


Reserves Win
Bredagh mens football reserve team got the season off to a good start on Sunday with a win away to Annaclone in the first round of fixtures in the all-county premier reserve league. The final scoreline was Annaclone 0-10 Bredagh 1-10


Hurlers win
The senior hurlers won their first match in Div 2 of the Ulster league when they defeated Carrickmore on Saturday afternoon. The final score was Bredagh 3-11 2-12 Carrickmore. Report in the senior hurling section.


Football Training Notice
Football training will commence in Cherryvale for the boys U10, U12 and U14 squads, this Sunday 7th March at 10am.


Coaching Session For Coaches
There will be a session planner coaching session for all football coaches in the club, this Saturday 6th March at 2pm in Cherryvale.

U12 boys football training continues this Thursday 4th March in Aquinas Hall, 7.30 - 8.30pm

U14 boys football training in on this Friday 5th March in Aquinas Hall, 6.30 - 8pm

Minor Football Notice
