Bredagh news in November 2002

2002 - Historic Year
Bredagh Youth reached a milestone on Sunday November 10th at Sarsfields when the U-12s played the 100th game in 2002. that includes football for boys and girls, and hurling. It was fitting that the game itself was an exciting, high-scoring draw at 5-6 each. Bredagh Coaches Michael Coffey and Damien Canavan were very pleased with the boys efforts and their discipline, especially in the face of some unsavoury tactics by the home side. Sean Irwin scored a couple of goals and was only denied a hat-trick by the crossbar. Cormac White played in goals and Donal Hughes proved that he will be one to watch in 2003.

TOTAL GAMES PLAYED BY YOUTH TEAMS IN 2002
U-8s - 9 and one tournament; U-10s - 10 and three tournaments; U-12s - 23; U-14s - 24; U-16s - 16; U-18s - 8; U-13 Girls - 7; Hurlers - 3.
