Reserves record fine win Bredagh's E Down Reserve team won their second warm up match at a blustery Drumaness on Easter Monday, with a controlled and impressive performance. With the wind in the first half, Finnegan and Poland goaled to ease the boys to victory, but it was the performances of Deccie Noble (0-3), McGlade (0-1), Paddy Byrne, E Donnelly and Paul Boyd (0-1) in the middle of the pitch, which cemented the victory. They controlled the play and came out on top both with and against the wind. Point of the game came from corner back Gerard McKenna (his words) - his first score for seven years!! Minor debutants Conall Devlin (0-1) and Ryan McAlinden acquitted themselves very well and will be a great asset to the team in the season to come.
Seniors defeat Drumaness Bredagh beat Drumaness by 3 points at a very cold and windy St Colman's Park, Drumaness.Jody Gormley, Peter Campbell,Henry Deazley and Shane Donnelly outstanding for Bredagh with a super goal from Conall Toland against the wind in the second half being the difference between the teams.

The mass sponsored by Bredagh GAC in association with the Scoil An Droichead Irish Cultural center was celebrated by Father Alan McGuckian of Cloughmills. It was a great turn out from all concerned and even attracted gaelgori from other areas. Every aspect of the mass was perfect and both young and old alike made a fitting contribution. After mass tea was served in the adjoining hall where a ceili was enjoyed by all who attended. Many thanks to the organising committee who made every effort to make this a momentous occasion.

Defensively Keiran Kelly, Marty Durkan, Chris Savage (MoM), the McKennas and Paddy Byrne were very solid. Terry Lawlor Cup Semi-Final Ballykinlar 3-7 - Bredagh 1-11
Bredagh seconds were in action against Ballykinlar in the semi-final of the Terry Lawlor cup on Sunday. It was the reserves first outing of the year and finished with a narrow two point win for the Kinlar men.
With a strong wind blowing away from the village, this was a game of two halaves. Bredagh started brightly with a fortunate goal from Kieran Rice followed by very good points from Paul Quinn, Paul McGlade and Paul Boyd. Bredagh went in at half-time with a commanding six point lead.
Ballykinlar 1-2 - 1-8 Bredagh
In the second half Kinlar made the most of the windy conditions to bring themselves back into contention with two early goals. Bredagh struggled to hold possession while Ballykinlar kicked ahead with some impressive attacking play. By full time, Bredagh had only managed two second half points allowing their opponents through to their first Terry Lawlor Cup final against Carryduff.
Bredagh 1-9 Gortnamona 3-9 Bredagh Minors lost out to two late goals in a competitive challenge game at home to Gortnamona on Sunday. After a good win over the thirds last week, the team fielded without Sean Armstrong, Conall Mahon O'Neill, Sean Irwin,Cormac White, Conall Devlin,Rory Johnson and Jimmy Mc Cafferty. However, the 19 players on duty acquitted themselves well against a physical and focussed Gort team.
The visitors opened up a two point lead before points from Peter Graham and Niall Nolan settled the home team. Decky O'Hara then took charge and recorded 1-1 but Gort got a fortunate goal from a ricochet before adding 4 unanswered points. Another score from Peter Graham left Bredagh behind by 2 at the interval.
Despite resting the Hurling Hughes Brothers at half-time,Bredagh dominated the third quarter.Building on a solid half-back platform of Michael Magee, Donal Mc Kegney and Dermot Colton ,the home side dominated proceedings and ran up super scores from O' Hara (2) and Graham (2).Some easy scores were missed and Gortnamona punished the South Belfast team with two break-away goals and two fine points. Despite strong performances from Ryan Mc Alinden, Michael Mc Allister and Mark Kelly, Bredagh's only reply was an excellent Graham point to leave Gortnamona winners by 6.
