Bredagh news in August 2006

Training Venues
Belfast City Council have closed Cherryvale from Tuesday August 22nd until October 2nd for essential work. This means that training sessions and matches have to be rearranged. The following are the latest venues:

GIRLS FOOTBALL - U-10s WILL REMAIN IN CHERRYVALE from 11.30am on Saturdays, using the open spaces rather than pitches. The U-12 and U-18 girls teams have to go to Lough Moss Leisure Centre in Carryduff on Saturday mornings at the normal times - 10.00am.

LADIES FOOTBALL - Lough Moss on Saturday mornings at 10.00am.

BOYS FOOTBALL - U-6, U-8, U-10 and U-14 training GOES AHEAD IN CHERRYVALE at the usual time of 10 O'Clock on Sundays.

SENIOR FOOTBALL - watch this space

U-8 & U-10 HURLING - Saturdays IN CHERRYVALE at 4.00pm

SENIOR HURLING - watch this space and Eamon's emails

CAMOGIE - Saturday afternoons for ALL teams in Cherryvale, though at the earlier time of 2.00-3.30pm.

Tyrone manager Mickey Harte posed with the Bredagh group at the recent RTE television programme Park Live.

CODE OF CONDUCT
All Bredagh players, coaches, parents and representatives are asked to take serious note of several recent incidents involving the use of foul language on the field of play.
The suspension in County Down is now an automatic eight weeks, yes that's eight weeks, with little hope in the appeal process. The message is clear - keep your language clean on the field of play, both to your opponents and to referees, no matter what the circumstances are. As the Bredagh Code of Conduct states…

- do not use bad language
- respect officials and accept decisions
- respect opponents as fellow competitors
- do not shout or argue with an official
